Job Summary: Assist guests with food and beverages purchases, process payments and operate the point of sale system efficiently and accurately.

Applicants must be 16 years of age.
Essential Job Responsibilities/Duties/Tasks include the following; other duties may be assigned:
1. Provide customers with top quality customer service in a friendly and positive manner.
2. Provide quick service cash handling using a PC point of sale system; accurately ring up items, accept various forms of payment, coupons, discounts, give correct change.
3. Must balance at end of shift, responsible for safe and accurate cash handling.
4. Maintain a tidy and organized cashier area.
5. Stock items in the checkout area.
6. Resolve issues and assist guests with questions or concerns.
7. Assist other employees when not busy with normal duties.
Competencies and Job Requirements:
Required:
1. Effective communication skills, oral & written
2. Strong sense of customer service & safety awareness
3. Able to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
4. Have a neat & clean appearance in compliance with the company grooming standards
5. Punctual, able to report at scheduled start time
6. Work well as part of a team.
7. Able to remain patient, calm and composed in a fast paced, high volume demanding environment
8. Basic computer skills and prior POS experience strongly preferred
Education and Experience:
Required:
1. Must have or be able to obtain a California Food Handlers card.
Preferred:
1. High School Diploma or GED
2. One to three months experience in food service or customer service

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, see, and hear. Sits for extended periods of time at a cashier station; stands and walks regularly throughout the day; uses hands and fingers to operate POS for up to 8 hours each day. Must be capable of occasionally carrying, lifting. pushing or pulling up to 10lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perceptions and the ability to adjust focus.

Indoor/Outdoor: While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to outside weather conditions.
Hazardous Materials/Noise: The noise level in the work place is usually moderate to loud.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
